Imation™ Rainbow™ Color Proofing System FAQs
Q: What type of Macintosh™ computer, how much RAM, and how large a hard disk is required to run the Rainbow™ system?
- It is recommended that Rainbow™ software version 4.0 be run on a Quadra™, Centris™ 650, or Power Macintosh™ computer.
- A minimum of 11MB of RAM for the Quadra/Centris 650 or 13MB for the Power Macintosh is required. To improve performance, 20MB or greater is needed. To RIP at maximum speed on a Power Macintosh, 112MB is required for CMYK and an additional 18MB for each extra color separation in addition to CMYK.
- A minimum of 160MB space available on the Rainbow™ server computer (with Rainbow™ software running) will allow space for files; 300MB is recommended.
